The country estate saw its beginning at the end of the nineteenth century by the initiative of Francesco Caruso. The land he chose turned out to be perfect for the production of high quality grapes. Entire generations were devoted to the rural life that took place between the vineyards and the daily chores of the Baglio. Giumarella and Cuttaia are the names of the family- vineyards from where the wines come from. A total of 120 hectares located in the inland of the Trapani province between Salemi and Mazara del Vallo. The highest hills, dedicated to the cultivation of the whites varieties, reach an altitude of 400 meters above sea level, whereas the valley bottom is where the red varieties grow
