Great Southern
Great Southern The Great Southern region of WA is home to the state’s oldest settlement of Albany, established in 1826. The area’s suitability for viticulture was identified by Professor Olmo in 1955, in a report for the Western Australian government, and later by John Gladstones, well-known for his pioneering work in Margaret River. Wines have been produced commercially in the region since the mid 1970’s.
