2017 Sangiovese Rose

We’re very pleased to be releasing this Sangiovese Rose, the first Rose for Mount Trio. We were fortunate to secure a small parcel of Sangiovese grapes from near Bunbury in the Geographeregion of WA’s South West. Perfect for a Rose, the fruit had just a few hours skin contact so the juice could pick up a light touch of colour, before fermenting to dryness at cool temperatures. Bottling early has ensured maximum freshness of flavour.
Colour:An attractive pale pink with excellent brightness.
Aroma:Is delicately perfumed with sweet strawberry fruit characters and light floral notes.
Palate: This is a light and flavoursome ‘Meditterannean’ style of dry Rose with subtle strawberry fruit flavours and hints of spicy cherry. It has a lovely full mouthfeel with good acidity and a very light touch of tannin providing a pleasing dry finish.
