2017 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon
Sauvignon Blanc is a green skin grape, and it is believed to take its name from two French words – Sauvage – meaning “wild” and Blanc meaning “white”. Less is known about Semillon, a golden skinned grape with it first being introduced into Australia in the early 19th Century, where it became synonymous with the Hunter Wine Region.
Tasting notes:Pale straw in colour, gooseberry on the nose, with fresh apple to lime notes and herbaceous overtones. This is a clean crisp wine. Enjoy with grilled fish or chicken, maybe a simple Caesar salad.
